Posted on this before, that product is for a target audience and it also doesn't have the correct urea percentage. Check the SDS. This product is to prevent deposits in diesel engines that use DEF at low temperatures. The programming on the 6.7 doesn't call for DEF at low temperatures. This would work in off road equipment that uses DEF at low temperature especially generators that are borderline wet stacking as most are underloaded.

Its 32-33% Urea per the SDS and 67-68% water, which is the proper amount. Spec is 32.5%, and a 0.5% tolerance is acceptable. No other components in the SDS, so not sure what makes it "Platinum". It does have the ISO 22241 Certification also.
Not saying I plan to pay a premium for it, but it shouldn't do any harm to your trucks SCR if it has the proper Urea content and is ISO certified.
They used two very subjective tests and papers that were submitted to the SAE for a product like this. Clearly calling their product "Platinum" is a marketing attempt to gain sales. Its hard to make leaps and bounds when your all selling the same product.
If anyone would like the papers they can be found here.

I see nothing wrong with the percentages either . Using this would be no difference than those of us that us other additives such as Better Diesel or even fuel additives to extend the life of our equipment
I'm curious what their Proprietary formulation inlcudes, considering they SDS doesn't call out anything else besides urea and DI Water.
BlueDEF PLATINUM™ is a mixture of high purity synthetic urea, deionized water and a proprietary formulation featuring its new Advanced System Shield™ Technology, which significantly reduces harmful deposits that commonly build up in modern diesel exhaust systems with SCR.
Good day, I am new to the DEF game, having just bought a 2027 F-250 6.7L PSD.
How important is the brand of DEF that I use in my truck? Are some brands better than others? I bought 5 gal at Walmart to have on hand, because it was cheaper there...is this a mistake? What should I be looking for?
where you buy is not important. Best price is a good thing. Get the ford filler spout is my recommendation. Good seal, no leaks down the side of the truck and prevents over filling out the filler spout.

I use the Walmart brand of DEF. No issues. I wait until the gauge says slightly below half and then put in an entire 2.5 gallon jug with no overflow.
If you can get it at the pump while getting diesel, it's less expensive. I think I've done that only once. It made a mess. I blame the DEF pump.
