i removed studs from tires for a Ford Edge. Tread was still in excellent shape and tires still performed great. Shouldn’t be an issue.
Thx for your feedback @seville009 .
I asume that you have used them in winter weather as well ?
I live in Canada and the Tire's performance in snow is important in my case.
It’s a car my son uses. I put studded tires on it just as extra security because he was a new driver at the time. I’m in Central NY; he went to college in Long Island where they get very little snow, which is why I pulled the studs out. The travel back and forth is through snow regions, and obviously snow here when he is home.
The tires are Cooper Weather Master WSC - good tires
The studs are forbidden in our underground parking. So I have to get rid of them. My Toyos are factory studded. I have talked to one retailer and he is caussios with removing them because he is afraid to damage the tires. Anybody has experience with removing studs from factory studded tires?

yes - just used a thin (head not too wide) flat head screw driver. Easier to do in warmer temps since the rubber is softer. Just work the head under the stud base in a twisting motion and it pops right out.
