Have a coolant drip on the passenger side floorboard. Anybody know where I can find a step-by-step on getting at the heater core? My manuals only cover the non-AC version.
Appreciate any help I can get.

I didn't have a printed guide, except one that was for non-ac. The stuff was really packed in there under the dash. I took out the dash bolts on the passenger side (dash to body) and got things to move enough that I could reach up by the firewall and remove the heater motor from the firewall. The job turned into a wrestling match pretty much. No finesse, lots of swearing. I tried to sawzall the ac case in half. But the skin was too tough. To identify mine, the ac did not have the black box that mounts on the engine side of the firewall. It was all under the dash except the compressor. Good luck.
Did you see the drawings on Fordification? I realize it's not a step by step guide, but it shows how the AC stuff is connected. That with the service manual you have may fill in the blanks. I don't have AC so I can't help you with the disassembly. If this drawing doesn't work for you, there are several other on Fordification. One should match your installation. Good luck.
One of my winter projects is to pull the heater box apart and get it sorted. Till then, I'm in the warmer clothes club.
The drawing,... https://www.fordification.com/tech/i...gral-incab.jpg .... is what I have. You can see it's helpful but still a cluster f**k. I appreciate your help but I'm not sure I have enough years and vertebrae left to tackle this. Not one of Ford's better ideas. You'd think there would be a way to drop the whole package and bench repair it.
I’ve been through the factory ac. The lines for heater/ac should* have a bit of slack to be able to unmount the unit from the dash.
autorestomod on youtube has a video or two on f100 ac install. Sargentrs on fordification had some good write ups on going through your ac/heater in cab.
Not sure if you mean factory or dealer ac?
It’s a big pain to get to the heater core, as on the factory ac it’s about the very last thing you get to after taking it apart. Maybe be careful not to disconnect/disrupt your evaporator core from the lines if it’s been working ok. Work slow and take pictures.
