I noticed this when I changed the tire size on my truck. OEM tires are around 32 inch diameter. Went to an LT 275/70/18 which is about 33.5 diameter. This affects the revolutions per mile. I was getting a late callout to make turns.
I’m still running factory tires. When I say late I don’t mean tells me too late to turn I mean when it tells me I am only getting half the guidance through the speakers.
Make sure you have your IOS and all your apps up to date. Next question, if you are in a bad signal area for your phone, it could cause a delay. I use an old iPhone 6, never have any delays (yet).
Doesn’t sound like a signal issue. Sounds more like you may need to have them reinstall the nav portion of sync in this system. Either that or plug in the phone and run another navigation. In all truth I much prefer Waze over Fords current which I believe to be TomTom.
There is a bit of a delay between when your phone's system starts sending audio and when the Sync system begins to play it, correct?
This is actually normal with the latest IOS software over bluetooth. Sync basically isn't responding as fast as the latest IOS software would like.
This can be rectified by plugging your phone in through the USB port IIRC and using Apple CarPlay.
Apple Maps acts the same way. Only way I was able to get around it was playing pandora. I assume the 100% all the time play gets rid of the lag. This started after and iPhone update. This is the plain Jane model SYNC as well.
