Bcm reprogramming?

Does a bcm need reprogrammed? If it gets replaced

Yes, it does. Upload the configuration data from the OLD BCM into your scan tool before removing it, if possible. Reprogram the replacement module with that data file.

...or bring it to a dealer and have it done. I think the cost is still just under $600.
