Hey guys. I have a new to me 1989 F-350 4 door dually. I've fixed several issues on the truck already, but this one has me stumped. My ac clutch and blower will not work. I tested the blower at the plug. Jumped it with 12v and it ran fine. I checked my resistor and it looked to be fine and when I omh it it shows to be fine. The compressor will not do anything. I can jump the pins on the compressor and nothing. My fuse looks to be in good shape. I changed it just to make sure.
Do any of you have any advice for what I should be looking at? I know the blower and compressor use to work. Its my father-in-laws old truck. It had been setting for the last year because the clutch pedal assembly split. I've got it back on the road and running good, but some heat at least would be nice for now with winter coming.

Not sure on blower fan, or, if it's even connected. But what is the pressure in the A/C system? Also, jumper the pressure switch, and see if compressor comes on. If so, you either have a bad pressure switch, or low refrigerant. And make sure you are getting the correct voltage at the fuse. No voltage + good fuse, still equals no voltage. If you can jump it with 12 volts and it works,, i would guess somewhere it is not getting the "signal" to turn on. Sitting this long, I wonder if the wires didn't get chewed up a bit by rodents. If you are getting the motor up to temperature, a temporary fix would be to run a fused switch thru a breaker to turn on the blower. But, that should not be a long term fix. Just something to use for heat til you sort out the problem.
good luck
Think I have it figured out. Looks like it got very hot and destroyed the connection at the fuse block. #13 is open so I may just extend the wire and move it to 13 until I get a new fuse block installed
