KC Turbos 2.7 performance testing
.
Today we are posting up results from our 2016 2.7 rcsb 2wd. We got it up on the dyno for some baseline tuning. We assume the truck was stock, but could have had some sort of tune in it. We decided to go with Gearhead tuning… we have worked a lot with Matt at Gearhead in the powerstroke world and he has really put in a lot of time on these ecoboosts.
.
Let me start off by saying these trucks are a BLAST to drive. They are so light and nimble, we were very impressed with what the 2.7 ecoboost was able to put out with just a tune. Everything else 100% stock.
.
I will post up 4 dyno charts. Chart 1 is just the HP numbers. Chart 2 will be tq and HP but gets a little messy with so many dyno runs on the same graph. Chart 3 is just stock vs highest tune to show the gains. 4thchart comparing a tuned 5.0 to the 2.7 ecoboost. Stock with a tune the ecoboost wins hands down.

Chart 1, 2, and 3
