Hey guys, I'm laid up at home on a walker with limited mobility and a wife with hostile attitude about me and the shop until doc clears me. I'm trying to find a new windshield arm/wiper combo for my truck that isn't the sloppy old stock set up. Options are limited. I can find the wipers in an 11" or 13" length but think the 13 might be a shade too long. Can someone give me the height of the windshield between the rubber seals... so I can determine if the 13"s will ride up over the top seal !!
Consider these, John. They have adjustable length and pivot end so they can lay flat against the rubber when parked. I have a set but haven't installed yet. I have the 11" blades.
thanks guys... I used your estimates and ordered Wexco 200714 adjustable with "J" hooks
and Bosch 4813 13" evolution blades
I like the beam style blades better and we ain't doing restoration
I replaced the wiper arms and blades on my 54 that I bought from Mid Fifty. They look nice but are very floppy and don't wipe well. I saved my old wiper arms and may have to put them back on.
The blades on my 55 were worn down to the nubs when I bought it. I just replaced the blades. They wipe very well.
I was really disappointed with the Mid 50 stuff... cheap import blades, infact, I hooked up one set on the bench and was moving it around watching the play in it and the wiper fell off the arm. that would be
great at 50 mph in the rain. tried some trico conventionals and they arrived broken... trico said return them to the a.p. store... we'll see about that

I sure miss those old parts counter guys that would bring you a Chevy part outta the parts bin and say “Trust me, this’ll work on your Ford”. And it would!
