Looking for information on a 1965 C700 I’m trying to bring back to life. Mainly which transmission it has, luckily the data tag is pretty mangled by the stamp 🙄 but I think it may be “C” It has the 2 speed rear and the pattern on the shifter has Reverse and 1st all the way to the right. Having some trouble with the trans so really hoping to ID it and get pointed in the right direction!
C = Dana (Spicer) Model 8052 5 speed direct transmission
G3 = Eaton model 16802 Two Speed Rear Axle/ 6.50/9.04 / 17,000 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity.
(No front axle code = Ford standard axle, probably 7,000 lbs capacity w/o power steering)
24000 = 24,000 lbs GVWR
160 3800 = 160 Net HP @3800 (Hard to read. Usually a 330 rings in at 164)
22 = Charlotte District Code
Let me know if I got these wrong or if you can clear up the ones I could not read.
B = Dana (Spicer) 8051-A, C, 5 speed Overdrive. (does not match your shift pattern per the link above)
F = Clark 305V 5 speed Direct
I = Clark 307V 5 speed Direct
J = Clark 250V 5 speed Direct
K = Clark 251VO 5 speed Overdrive
L = Clark 2651-V1 or 2653-V1 5 speed Direct
M = Clark 264VO 5 speed Overdrive
N = Dana (Spicer) 5652 5 soeed Direct
P = Dana (Spicer) 5756-B 5 speed Direct
Q = Dana (Spicer) 6352 5 soeed Direct
R = Dana (Spicer) 6852-G 5 speed Direct
There's more. I'll be back but I would recommend a flashlight and a putty knife and scrape off the goo on the box that's in there and see what you find.
Mostly what's left is more Dana (Spicer), a Clark or two and a Fuller. Only the Clarks match your pattern.

I wish it was just goo, unfortunately it looks as though at some point something impacted it just right and marred it up.
