Coolant "spill"?
This is apparently a problem what will resurface again in time. I read where one person had problems with a leak even after replacing the tube so they removed the manifold and tapped out the hole and threaded an adapter to just clamp a new length of heater hose directly to the adapter. Spaznaut could tell us if that might be easily done.
Also as JWA mentioned, you might want to try Ford for the original part. Perhaps they are all made by the same company though!
Also from what I have learned reading about your problem,,, the other hose was probably plugged off because of a leak in the other metal tube that runs under the intake manifold. It looks like there is a good bit of rust so if you are going to repair the heater so that it functions, I would think about replacing the heater core too.
