Tailgate camera

I have a 17 SD and I currently have an aftermarket backup camera. I want to go with a factory tailgate camera. Is it all plug and play or do I need to get some programmer with it?

Just a guess here but it would seem that you'd have to do some FORScan programming to the BCM, APIM or whichever module controls the camera. Or maybe even a Ford garage's diagnostic computer to get in and make changes.
And of course your display or SYNC system would have to be compatible.
But if you sit tight I'll bet someone who has done this will come along.

Yes, you will need ForScan.

Can you add sync to a truck that didn't have it factory?
