I like that it has no branding on it. So far, it seems no different in performance/tuning than my stock antenna. I landed on this brand because it seemed to get the best ratings, as far as reception. I don't know, though, if it does, in fact, have superior reception among stubby antennas. have been through the car wash with it a couple of times. No worries.
The reason I swapped was that my stock antenna dragged on my garage door and I was afraid that it would eventually catch and do damage.
I like the 50 cal BMG looks good. I dont believe any of the stubby's get as good or better reception than the 36" factory.. There's a reason for the height.. Maybe around town in the city there's not much noticeable change. Just my opinion from previous stubby antennas I have used in the past. Go out in a more rural area with hills, mountains etc.
I use satellite radio, so tall trees and over passes are my main enemy. lol

This. I have the same stubby antenna and it works well. Replaced the factory one for the same reason: dragging on the garage door.
I originally bought a black anodized aluminum stubby antenna off of ebay, and after 4-6 months it changed colors from jet black to a brown. In on my second one, and after 8-10 months it looks like its starting to change again. I may just get it powder coated and see how that holds up.
I got the same style twist antenna as factory, off of Amazon, in a 24 inch vs the 32 inch factory. Looks better and clears the garage door easily.
Haven't done it on the current truck but a couple of trucks ago I just cut the factory antenna down enough to clear the garage door. Put the cut off part in a vise, twisted and pulled the little ball from the top and epoxied it back to the antenna. No cost option and it lived through many car washes before I traded the truck.
Previous to that I had a rubber stubby antenna that not only looked goofy in my opinion, one day on vacation near Daytona Beach it never came home from a car wash.
I’ve actually bought 4 different antennas for this truck. And I had cut the factory one so it cleared the garage door. But the wire started to unravel after a few months. Then I got a rubber one and the car wash ate it. I replaced it with a similar rubber one but decided I wanted a more factory look. So I got one like the factory one but it was shorter than what I liked (15”) and now I have a 21” and it’s just right. Kinda like Goldilocks over here with my antennas. Lol.
this is what I have now. It’s just shorter than the cab. Perfect IMO.
