I think most lift the front to make it level with the back but some do lower the back to make it level. For me I like the level look since 95% of the time I am not towing and prefer the look of a level truck and then I am able to increase tire size which makes for a better ride in my opinion.
This may be a dumb question, but.... I see a lot of people installing a leveling kit. Are you lowering/raising the front, rear, or both? Why?
I think it depends on what year truck you have.
Pre 2020 trucks sat about 1" taller all around so in my mind, it would be beneficial to lower the rear to stave off steering geometry concerns in the front. To combat rear end sag at load, you could go with airbags, timbrens or sumo springs. However, it seems like several also leveled the front as well on the pre 2020 trucks.
On my '20 I leveled the front and will add timbrens or sumo springs to the rear.
Any input for what kit is the "best" to level a 2019 by making the front higher? How far do you need to increase the front to make it level with the rear?

I think those kits are a 2.5 " lift, if you looking for a actual spring lift and shock replacement Carli, BDS, ICON are the top names but for a basic spacer kit readylift is the way to go
I went with the Carli Level lift...3" on my 2020 7.3 Truck came from the factory with a 2" rear block and had a 2" rake. The springs from Carli were 3" and then I changed out my rear block to a 3 1/4" F350 block that came in that was also getting a taller lift than mine. It looks very well balanced with just a slight rake. I then added some Yokohama X-AT 295 65 R20 tires 35.3 tall tire x 12" wide. It looks well balanced without having to go to 37's which are about a 36.5 tall tire x 12.5" wide. I then added some Tremor running boards and Front Valance. Looks like a slightly beefier Tremor with a better ride do to the Carli springs and shocks. What a difference over the stock truck and my friends tremor. Very pleased so far. I am next getting an alignment do to a possible right radial pull and possibly will need to get a Carli single stainless steering stabilizer.
I used the Readylift 2.5" kit with trackbar relocation bracket to level out my 2018. I don't tow much so not too worried about the back end sagging. I did it for the looks.....didn't like the pronounced rake from the factory.
I went with a Bilstein coil spring leveling kit with 5160 remote reservoir shocks for my 2017. I have not installed them yet, hopefully later this week. I plan on running 37's. Quick question, am I making a mistake by not installing a track bar relocation bracket?
2017 -2019 Most are going with 2.5" to level
2020 folks are going with 3.5"to level. Which basically makes it the same height as the 2017-2019 trucks
To get a 2020 level certainly doesn’t involve a 3.5” “level”. To get it level would be ~1.5”. However, if you are seeking the same height as the 2017-2019, you are right that it would take a 3.5” “level”. I emphasize “level” because at that point, it’s an all around lift since you have to add taller blocks or address your leaf springs to gain in the rear.
Currently have 2.5" coil spacer, but have a set of 2.5" Icon level coils to put in this weekend. 2.5" coil spacer pretty much perfectly leveled the truck. Some people don't like the added height of the level so they drop the rear which looks pretty decent. I just prefer a taller truck.

I believe once you get about 2.5" of lift, your axle will be off-center without an adjustable track bar or a trackbar relocation bracket. Someone here can explain it in better detail.
I just installed a ReadyLift coil spring leveling kit this weekend and yes the axle is off center without an adjustable track or track bar relocation bracket. My kit had the bracket with it so that is what I used.
