I went with a Bilstein coil spring leveling kit with 5160 remote reservoir shocks for my 2017. I have not installed them yet, hopefully later this week. I plan on running 37's. Quick question, am I making a mistake by not installing a track bar relocation bracket?
Short answer: Yes, you need to address your trackbar as your axle will be off center.
The 2017-2019 trucks were roughly 1" higher all around and suffered from vibrations and death wobble. To combat that, Ford lowered the suspension on the 2020 trucks to increase the castor (this is from ford master tech, not my opinion). That said, the track bar was not addressed at that time, so therefore, if you are lifting a 2020 truck, you wouldnt need to address the trackbar for a 1" lift, but anything more, you would need to address the trackbar. If you are lifting a 2017-2019 truck, anything over factory, you will need to address the trackbar as it will pull your axle off center (you will also want to address castor in my opinion). You can see my other posts explaining why.
i dont see how you tow anything with the nose in the air like that. it looks rediculous but beside that it seem like it wouldnt even drive well
Thats more than a leveling kit and yes I agree that doesnt look good and Im sure it doesnt drive all that well when loaded. Its a simple fix though, just add some bags and he would be set.
