electric screwdriver or drill?

Hi
I have a Ford ECU MT-422 that I wish to open, I bought a screwdriver set (
Amazon Amazon
)
and managed to get a screw using the M5.5 head manually.

Would anyone advise to get a electric screwdriver or drill for this?

"and managed to get a screw using the M5.5 head manually."

Not sure what you meant here. Did you break off the head and need to drill out the shank?

For removing or installing 6 screws, I would just use the handle that came with the set. Using a powered anything on such small screws can only make things worse.

I don't understand the confusion? Just get the correct size driver and remove it.

Hi
i tried last week using that head on my screwdriver and only manage to get one of the screws removed. So i was wondering if I should use an electric screw, but i understand I might strip it.

Could that socket be too big for the head of the screw? Have you tried English sizes instead of metric? 5.5mm is about 7/32"

yea that's the only one that fits in my bit set. the others are too small. I'll look into it. maybe i'll still get a mini ratchet wrench or electric screwdriver . .

You will still need the correct bit.

No, you should just do it manually.
Electric power tools will more than likely strip the head, either loosening or tightening.

If its too tight to undo with nut driver handle, then put a 1/4" ratchet on it.
Use the nut driver handle to tighten, not the ratchet, less likely to strip when tightening.

If you put your socket on the head of screw, and twist it with your fingers back and forth, if there is movement, it is too big.
