95 maf diameter

Hey guys and gals so I have a stupid question, I have a 95 bronco 5.0 that I’m putting back together. One way or another I lost the maf ( probably a drunk freind messing around or something) well I got a housing from an e150 cuz there weren’t any trucks or Broncos. Only marking is on the top and it says 98 and bottom says 22. It fits the intake tube and air box, but Does anyone know the diameter it should be at the outlet? I just want to make sure I have the right one

It should be the same but you could look up the parts on RockAuto to see if they have the same part number.

Problem is I don’t see any actual part numbers on it. I’m gathering that it’s probably the correct one though, I don’t think there were all that many sizes

If someone is willing to measure theres at both ends or even take some pics of any markings on the outside id greatly appreciate it

Ford does not put part numbers on their parts. Those are engineering numbers. Look up year and model of the van you took the part off of and compare that to what is listed for your Bronco.

Measuring the ends isn’t going to tell you anything. There are different size throttle bodies but the ends are the same so the intake hose will connect.

So what if the engineering number is the same? Would that be about right? I only ask because it was just loose under the hood.

If the engineering numbers are the same then yes they are the same part and hasn't been redesigned/ updated. There is the first part - core part number - revision. The first and second parts usually stays the same and the last part will change as is it updated. It will go from -A to -B.

Does it look like it belonged on the van? It would have bolted up to the air box and intake tube same as on your Bronco? It's hard to know what you have without a picture.

Yeah it bolted right up and fit the stock intake tube.I’ll take a picture in an hour when I get home so you can see. It’s been changed over to k&n stuff on the truck but You’ll see the fit and numbers I’m referring to.
edit:
on another note can I just upload photos from my phone? Sorry new to this site... used to fsb but they have been pissin me off for a few years so I bailed

Looks right to me. When I looked up a MAF for a ‘95 E-150 it was the same p/n as your ‘95 U-150.

Ok cool! Thanks bud! I figured as much but just had that annoying little voice in my head telling me to make sure. I know the trucks, bronco, and vans all had the same one, but considering it was just loose under the hood and was literally the only one in the yard I had to grab it and hope. I looked on eBay to see any markings, saw the 98 on the top of one, so it should be right. Just needed another set of eyes. Plus I’m not sure how many Sizes Ford made that looks like that and had the right bolt pattern and outlet OD

AFAIK, only the trucks had the MAF bolted to the air box lid.

Oh good to know. Like I said it was just loose chillin under the hood. Was the only one there so I snagged it since it looked right. Sorry but I don’t know what AFAIK stands for lol. So I think I’m ok then on the size. Right? 😂
