ZF5 Transmission Help

Good afternoon, Im in the process of rebuilding my ZF5 47 transmission out of my 99 F350. Everything was going well until I got to the 5 gear/synchro/Reverse on the mainshaft. It appears someone may have swapped in a ZF5 42 parts for this set. I noticed this when I attempted to order a new ZF5 47 reverse gear and slider the new gear and slider would not mesh with the older hub or 5th gear. Looking at my part numbers it appears the rev and hub are from the Zf542... The part numbers on the gears inside of the transmission were as follows.

5th Gear. 1307 304 579 (26T)
Syncho 5/Rev Hub 1307 304 167
Reverse Gear 1307 304 590 (44T)

At first I thought it would be better to try and buy the 5th gear for the 47 and have all the right parts in there but I'm unable to locate a 26T 5th gear. 5th gear appears in good shape along with the synchronizer hub that is in there. the Reverse gear is pretty worn down on the ring. Im wondering if it would be better to just buy a new Reverse gear from the 42. Or is this what cause premature wearing. May be worth noting also has the older style Detent and ball synchro hub like the 42. where the other 2 synchros in the mainshaft has what looks like tiny thor hammers with a spring.

Is it normal to have this type of set up for this transmission or did someone make a Frankenstein transmission? Any advice would be greatly appreciated local shops in town seemed equally stumped and information on this transmission seems pretty sparse.

The transmission was working okay prior to removal however had grinding in 1 and 2. 2nd gear was replaced without issue.

Also where can I get some shims for the countershaft and mainshaft unsure if ill need them yet but my search has come up with nothing but 1 kit that was over 150$ Do differential shims or anything work for this transmission?

Thanks!

I added some attachments that may help sort out the part number issue. I also added the ZF list of distributors, but it is from 2010, so I'm not sure how accurate it is today. I think shims are shims if the ID/OD is correct.
