I installed my newly rebuilt 3310 to try it on my 460, new fuel line blown out and inspected and new in-line fuel filter. Ran great for 10 minutes and then the passenger side (facing engine) idle circuit went screwy. I can turn the driver side idle screw in and it kills the engine, as it should, but the passenger side screw has zero effect no matter what I do. I unscrewed it and inspected it, looks fine. I don't have the throttle cranked up, and it runs great off-idle. Any quick or otherwise fixes?
Try shooting some carb cleaner in the hole after removing the idle screw.
It could have a small piece of something in the idle circuit.
If that doesn't work, the try reving it up wide open and slamming the choke shut for a second then open the choke back up and let it come back to an idle. See if it is ok now.
By doing this, you create a huge vacuum in the carb and it will usually suck any debris out of the passages.
