So my wifes 2010 exp. has recently started pulling to the drivers side on panic/hard stops. It also felt like the brakes were hanging when pulling out. I figured the hoses may be going bad and not letting the pressure off the caliper. I bought some goodman stainless braided hoses. Wasn't too bad to replace but this vehicle only has 24k miles and 10k of those are my wife's miles. I noticed the passenger side wheel wouldn't hardly turn once I got that side jacked up off the ground. Trying to get the caliper loose it wouldn't collapse to let the pads loose. I took hose loose as I was replacing it. Still wouldn't hardly release. Finally a big screwdriver convinced it to get with it. After taking it loose I checked the sliders and the bottom one was locked up. Finally with channel locks and some convincing it came on out. The grease looked to be dried out. I'm not sure if heat or such killed the grease (top was still greased good and the dustcaps are good with no tears or breaks). I cleaned the slide and the hole with some wd40 and regreased it. Works much better and doesn't pull. Now I'm just worried where the banjo bushing is from the old one and did I install 2 together by missing the one at the caliper...Hope this may help anyone that may get a pull on their brakes.
I wanna say Rockauto but its been a minute. I got front and back hoses in the kit. I've done the fronts and still need to do the backs. Ended up my issue was a seized lower slider bolt. Took it out and cleaned/lubed it and fixed my hanging brake. Mine were for a '10 Expedition.
