Crank, no start

Last week, I had drove my 6.0 to work and when I went to lunch, my truck only cranked. I noticed I had an oil pressure code come up but the truck eventually started after several minutes. Long story short, took it to a shop cause it wouldn’t turn back on. Was told I needed a starter. Had starter replaced but asked if they did any tests ( oil and/or fuel pressure test) but was told nothing and that no codes were present. That same day, I was stranded with a crank no start truck. When cold, it starts up fine, but today I let it go up to 165 degrees and turned it off. When starting, it only cranked. What could the issue be? Something being grounded? Oil pressure? Fuel or injector related?

What are you using to determine the 165 degree temperature value?
Will it give you ICP pressure and voltage as well as IPR % duty cycle?

I’m using an NGuage obd2 scanner
voltage shows to be good, over 12v

I was asking about the voltage output from the ICP sensor when cranking

Do you have an OBDII adapter (ELM327)?

If so, download ForScan or Torque Pro.

The BAFX adapter is about $25 and works well. The download is about $5. WiFi for iOS and BlueTooth for Android.

When I started up my truck, I did get a P2291 code but the shop I took it to, they said they couldn’t find any codes. I’m pretty sure the ICP or IPR or both are bad

That is why I asked for ICP data. You could try disconnecting the ICP sensor when it won't start, but it probably is more than just a sensor issue.

How would I go about on testing it? With truck off, remove the connector from the sensor and see if it starts after ? Or while running?

Mark meant remove the ICP connector key off. Then try to start.

Yes, try to start with the sensor disconnected. If the sensor is bad, it will start that way.
