So the other morning I started my truck for work went back, inside to let it warm up whrn I came back out it was no longer running and has not run since. Since then I have put in New batterys , fuel filter, cam position sensor, and fuel pump. Still not starting and the pump is not pumping fuel. I'm thinking the issue is in the fuel tank. Anybody with experience with this that can point me in the right direction would be great.
I agree with @seville009 . We all tend to "think the worst". Back track or read the owner's manual.... eliminate the smallest of things FIRST. It could just be an electrical connector that needs to be unplugged and then re-plugged. What do you hear when you turn on the ignition switch?
The fuse is good. One of the first things I checked. I hear a humming sound when I turn on ignition. I am gonna get a test light tommorow to make sure pump is getting power although I'm pretty sure it is.
for under $200 bucks you can have almost dealer level PCM access and trouble shoot your 7.3
the other thing you will need is a fuel pressure gauge. check riff raff or Diesel O rings for the adapter into you fuel bowl.
with the above setup and following Oregon diesels flow chart you will diagnose any 7.3 issue.
