Because Super Duty brakes are a continuous maintenance item, the elevation of the extensive conversation on brake pads into its own separate thread was not an unreasonable request, which was readily accommodated. Post related to that specific tangent of conversation were moved in order to maintain continuity of the lines of thought, and to make sure that every voice was heard, within the context that the voice was originally spoken within.
That's a win for everyone, as a new thread was created, with not a single post from anyone deleted. The new thread is searchable by title, which includes the keywords Yellowstuff and Hawk, the two most prominent brake pads sold in the aftermarket for this application. When new and old members conduct a search by thread, they will see these keywords in the title, and thus know that a concentration of relevant content on topic with what they searched for can be found in that thread, rather than wade through several hundred or thousand posts about whatever random tweak folks may have done to their truck on any given day.
Any other Moderation questions should be directed to the Moderator via PM, not on the open forum, per the Site Guidelines.
Thank you for your understanding.

The move of certain posts was initiated by me when I wrote the following based on the back and forth discussion SkySkiJason and I were having about brake parts in this thread which was not a good platform for such a discussion.
Your freedoms have not been lessoned and moderation has not been increased. That is a ridiculous (your words) statement. Your right to free speech was not only honored, but it was uplifted by moving your post to keep the discussion relevant.
This was simply a move of certain off topic posts in order to place them in a well suited thread which was started by another FTE'r that has direct correlation to the side discussion that was happening here. FTE'rs reading this thread don't want to see our back and forth about why we select the brake parts we do, they want to see what someone did to their rig that day and if they were successful or not. Just like your Betsy Blue thread that you have going about your new to you truck, people drop in to see what you are working on or smashing now.
It truly is that simple.
You may not have asked to have your post moved, but after the primarily off topic discussion posts were moved, your post no longer had any relevance to the "what did you do to your rig" thread. It was alone in the darkness flailing about. Your post was moved in order to keep your contributed content relevant to the discussion instead of exiling it on a deserted island. Does that make sense?
If you are still pissed off at me, I guess I will have to live with that. I am sorry for the way you felt, but as a person in a leadership position in active duty service and as a SNCO someone was always pissed off at me for one reason or another. As a matter of fact, there is a saying in the military and it goes "if everyone is happy, then you are not doing your job". There are a lot of other things to be pissed off about in this world and nation right now if you choose, but in my opinion this is not one of them.
Hopefully you now have a better understanding of why your post was moved and you do "get it". If not, I don't think I can explain it any better than the other FTE'rs already have, so I will leave it at that.

I have nothing more to say. Funny how anytime someone is unhappy with something, they get ousted or chastised. More threads have been ruined or tainted these last few months with the unfortunate result of human behavior. I guess I shoulda come in and waxed poetic for 5 paragraphs and just said "thank you". No thanks. I don't run that way. Y'all be good.
First, I would like to address this...
In addition, go ahead and remove my phone number from your phone. This way I won't have to answer any of your questions about military defensive fighting tactics, weapons training, hostile situational awareness, military gear, 2A thoughts, tell you what caliber your rifle is capable of shooting or anything else I spent literally hours helping you with via text in the past. Then you will be completely oblivious to my words, comments, opinions and questions. I referred to my military service above simply because what I was saying to you could have been taken out of context if I had not used words I did like "service" or acronyms like "SNCO."
On October 5th I sent you a text to see how things were going at your new employment and with your family since the move. I did this because I considered you a friend and was hoping that your family had settled in a bit and you were doing well. I apologize for checking in on you during a somewhat tumultuous time in your life.

We were never lucky enough to have children of our own because of various reasons, but I don't feel the need to divulge my medical history or my wife's medical history to you because it is NONE OF YOUR DAMN BUSINESS! Some of the opportunities to have children were wiped away by my military service because of distance, emotional or physical hardships, but we have moved on from that as a couple. We were looking to be a foster home for children that needed a safe place, but that didn't work out either. Not yet anyway...
Am I what? Am I in the current environment like you. Nope, no I am not! I held a steady job for over 22 years, then I held a $100,000 a year IT position for 1 year until we decided it was not worth it. Money is not everything... Money is needed to survive, but it is not everything. So, you don't want me to mention my military service, but then you are going to bust my ***** about receiving a military pension? Get your sh|t straight Byron! My wife and I decided to live on a shoe string budget because we had spent enough time in our life apart. We are both prior active duty. We spent nearly all of the first 5 years of our marriage (22 years in January) on different continents. Yes, I said continents... I spent more time in the desert in war zones than you have at any of your past 4 employment locations. Oh, there I go again, mentioning my military service.
I am not currently employed because we chose to live a life on a strict budget so we could be together. I have signs of early onset Parkinson's and suffer from physical ailments and PTSD, but you don't want me to talk about my military service, so just strike that from the record. So, us being together is and was more important that $100,000 a year. I laugh each time to myself each time you have mentioned that figure in your past posts. It is what it is and some people have different goals for their life, ours is to be happy together no matter the financial cost.
In case you didn't know, I receive $2,387.30 each month from my military service pension. I don't mind sharing this because it is publicly available knowledge simply by going to Google and typing in USAF MSgt pay chart, then looking at 22 years on the chart, then divide that by 50% and you will come close to 2,387.30 after the extra 5 months of service and taxes have been calculated in. Crap, I did it again, I mentioned military service again. Sorry to offend you...
The newest vehicle we had up until October of 2019 was a 2008 Subaru. When my mother passed away last October, we inherited her 2016 Escape. We don't care about new and shiny things anymore. It would be nice to have an Audi R8, but I am not going to destroy my family life in order to obtain those material things.
We choose to live for each other on a tight budget because we did work very hard and plan for our future. That allowed me to leave the $100,000 a year job after only 1 year. I couldn't deal with the "I don't give a crap" attitudes that the other employees had. We live month to month and account for every dollar. That was one reason why we didn't stay at the cabins during the last North GA Meet & Greet. So, I am not employed and that was our choice, we made as a couple and a family of 2 people, 2 dogs and 2 cats. Just as it was my choice to get on a plane to go to a foreign land to be shot at and have mortars fired at my tent while I slept. So you could do what it is you like to do. Don't be upset at me or fault me because I joined the service and am now living on a strict budget.

You didn't have to say anything, but you chose to post this when all of the other 11 FTE'rs either looked for their post that was moved or just let it be. Again, these posts were moved in order to keep the discussion whole and intact.
Everything and anything I have said here today and since I joined this forum is something I would say to someone face to face looking them in the eye. If you feel the need or desire to reply to me, please use the PM feature so this thread can retain at least some on topic content.
