Windshield cleaner - scrubbie

Looking for a good brush/scrubber/squeeze to clean the windshield. An accident has taken my right shoulder out of commission for awhile and I need something long enough to clean the windshield. Plenty of choices in auto stores and Wal Mart but looking for something that will do a good job and last for awhile.

Both inside and outside? Griots has a nice handle for the inside windshield cleaning so you don't have to reach in too far. Only thing I can think of for the outside is a long handled squeegie like what is at truck stops.
I get the shoulder being out of commission. Had right shoulder surgery 3 years ago myself.

Just outside, bugs and such. Someone ran a red light and hit me from behind when I was riding a motorcycle. One smashed scapula and three plates later and a bunch of screws and the healing begins.
Thanks

never had much success using the squeegees and stuff with handles because it’s hard to get much leverage to scrub it and then get it clean.

I either open the front doors and stand on the footwell, or use a taller light weight household folding ladder to reach all areas if the window. makes it much easier.

I soak it good with Formula 409 first; that lets you just wipe the bugs and junk off easily. Then just shine it ip with Windex

I have been using left over hand wipes, stored in a ziplock bag till I need one. I just wrap it over the scrubbing side of the Squeegee, open the door of the truck and stand up and scrub the windshield, the hand wipe solution removes bug splats rather quickly. It seems also to help with removal of bug splats down the road also. I did the drivers side of the winshield when we were in Walla Walla on the drive back to the wet side of Washington. We went up the Yakama valley, real buggy that weekend. When we got home I washed the truck and trailer and the bugs on the driver side came right off the passenger side I really had to scrub the off.
Right now everyone has a supply of hand wipes and most of them have too much liquid on them

If you want to clean the windshield perfectly clean use Bon Ami Powder Cleanser. It will clean all the grime off. You'll need to wash the truck after to rinse all the excess off.

I use Rain-X on my windows - all of them. In addition to the better visibility in rainy weather due to the water shedding, the bugs don't stick nearly as much. And those that do stick clean off much easier. In the winter, it makes it much easier to clean frost or ice off of the glass.

Any automotive wash brush will work just fine to clean the windshield. It's all I've ever used in the past.

For a squeegee, I actually picked up a snow brush/scraper that has a nice rubber squeegee on it with an extendable aluminum handle. I've never needed a squeegee before, but we hooked our house up to city water a couple years ago and it leaves behind bad water spots when drying. It sucks. I never had to dry or squeegee my vehicles on my well water. It was perfect.

I ordered one of these:
Amazon Amazon

Until my shoulder heals it could give me enough length without becoming to flexible.
For the price thought I would give it a try.

Maybe too late, but I was going to suggest this thing - https://smile.amazon.com/Invisible-G...edirect=1&th=1

You can add a broomstick or telescopic pole to make it as long as you want.

I too stand inside with door open. One trick is to have rainx on, then spray what you use and let it soak a bit.
You might be able to attach a kitchen plastic scrubby sheet to that. They have them at the Dollar tree store.

Also, glad you are on the mend. This is one reason I gave up my bike back in 2008. Just as cell phones where becoming super popular. No way I would ride now with everyones nose in it and not watching the road
