So I'm replacing the wheel bearings on my 68 on the front passenger side and the hub will not spin freely the other side spins no problem but this side it seems to be hanging up and I have no clue what else to do any suggestions or help would be very appreciated
Did you replace the race in the hub along with the new bearing? (They should be changed as a set) Is the race driven into the hub completely? Back off the brake shoes so that they don't touch? Is the grease seal driven into the hub completely?
Hmm did it spin before you messed with it?
Like said above did you install new inner and outer hub RACES ?
Is the new bearing have the same number and brand name ?
Your doing something wrong, what have you torqued the spindle bearing nut too ?
Did to spin the wheel back & fourth while tightening nut to seat bearing ?
Also did you check the wheel cyls to see if leaking. How roll back the dust boot if fluid dips out it need to be replaced.
Best not to rebuild old cylinders because they get moisture eaten up inside and don't seal good...
