97 f150 3/4” black vacuum hose on front diff
Hello, I have a 1997 F150 4.6l It’s electronic shift 4x4 and I hear everything clink in but my wheels hubs don’t lock or something because I have a black 3/4” vacuum hose on top of the front differential And it connected to the diff I just have no clue where it connects to the engine vacuum so it locks my hubs it has been ripped, I’m going to replace the line I just need to know where it goes so I can reconnect. Also I have a gray and red insert plug dangling or the driver side of my front diff have no clue where it goes either. I can add picture if needed.

so why would I hear every thing click in but my 4wd don’t work at all
where does the black hose go to from the locking mechanism

Because all you are hearing is the transfercase. The center disconnect has a vacuum line that goes to the 4x4 solenoid. There is no 3/4" hose down there so I am unsure what younare looking at.
