Confused about wheel sizes and tires sizes that fit?

However, the wheels and the rear spring would remain the weak links in your truck’s rear GAWR.
Another option is the Michelin Agilis CrossClimate LT tire. It’s an all-weather tire with the “three peak mountain snowflake” symbol (see right side of pic below), so I believe it qualifies as a winter tire in your area. A great feature is that they can be run year-round; these are what I have on our truck.

thanks so much for all the tire help! now i just need wheel help
for example i know the bolt pattern always has to be 8x170 and now i will for sure be running 18 inch rims
so now my question is what width of rim and what offset can i run if i go with any of these options. LT275/70R18E, LT285/70R18E, LT285/75R18E
like does it have to be a 8 inch wide rim or can it be a little different?
the reason i ask is because i am ordering from a site from canada and i checked a few other and there doesnt seem to be much stock for
8 x 18, 8x170 with a 40 offset
was wondering if i could get a wider wheel or a narrower wheel that will still fit those tires
thx

I believe I can help with the wheel width question. Checking Tire Rack’s website:
7” - 8.5” for the LT275/70R18E
7.5” - 9.5” for the LT285/70R18E and LT285/75R18E
These wheel width ranges should not have significant effects on the tires’ inflated cross-section dimensions.
I’ll defer to others for offset range recommendations.

vFISTLY THX SOO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!
secondly i will for sure be going with LT275/70R18E, the other sizes seem harder to find. i just want the tires to be close enough to the original max gross weight on the r20. i never overload my truck or anything and when i tow or whatever its always less then what the oem r20's can handle.
lastly would the ford dealership know what size wheels will fit? like is there someone who can give a perfect answer or is tirerack one of the best?
thx again!!

I wouldn't count too much on the dealership being about to steer you accurately on a detail like this - unless you happen to have a real truck fanatic at the dealer that can help out. Your best bet is to ask the kind of questions you are asking here, and perhaps other forums and resources, and educate yourself on the matter. It's your truck and your neck that will be on the line going down the road so learn enough to be able to make your own decisions. This is a great place to learn a lot about your truck, what you can do with it and what you can do to it. Tire Rack has never steered me wrong.
