Today I found some more purgatory trucks to add to the list.
One of my local dealers shows all their ordered trucka as inventory. Retail orders, fleet orders anything they order basically. This is a bit dishonest as the vast majority of those trucks are already spoken for, but it did allow me to look through what they have on order.
I found 9 purgatory trucks that they are waiting for. This is nothing unexpected, but what I found curious was the build dates. The earliest builds date of any of our members trucks was 4/18, but several of these trucks were built earlier, as early as 4/12. The earliest 4 were all fleet orders too.
I added these 9 in Green below. Members trucks in Blue.
One other curious item I discovered is it seems duallys are transported by rail to the same dealer that may receive a SRW by Convoy. Honestly I don't think I've ever thought about it, but can a car carrier accommodate a dually?
I'm trying to come up with a better way to post the spreadsheet. As the size grows, the type becomes smaller, and it may be hard for you all to read.
As always, if anyone wants to be added to the list, I just need VIN and order number.
Mite as well add me to the list, just got off the phone with Ford and they say the same thing the tracker does, but now with a build date of 10/25 and eta of 10/31 even though my dealer told me on the 7th it was built 5/10, and was in Albany NY (an hour and a half away from me) waiting for transport.
Order date : March 11th
Order number : J12R
Vin # : 1FT7W2B68MEE11780
Girl on the phone gave me a case number and said call any time, but saw nothing in regards to a May 10th build and absolutely nothing about it being in Albany NY on the 7th for dealer transport. She said she had no idea what my salesman was looking at, I explained the vehicle vissability report and she had no clue. Im more than patient and have my 2019 still so no biggie, but dont know if I should ride it out or not. Same deal as most everyone else.

Sure looks like it's built to me. Since it is traveling by rail, see if your dealer can give you those details. I believe the first post of this thread says how to track by rail car.
I have not heard of trucks being stored in Albany, but they could be. If it is in Albany it is likely waiting for components as we have not seen any trucks built between 4/12 and 5/13 delivered.
When they say Albany I think they mean the Selkirk yard, I know theres a large vehicle unloading area there. I have another email out to my salseman asking whats up, so I may ask for the rail info and go from there. But your probably right, its sitting there waiting..and waiting..

I’ve been curious about whether or not they bring the trucks back to the plant for final assembly, or if they’re installing the final components in the parking lots where they’re staged?
if trucks don’t have to go back to the plant, it’s certainly possible that they could get shipped to a regional staging area to wait for final assembly.
wouldn't be my first choice either as the manufacturer or the end user... but hey, nobody’s getting exactly what they want in this situation.
Question for you optimistic fella’s that use Palasapp on the regular... after you enter your VIN, do you get a little spinny wheel that says JCT? Does it ever go away, or does it just sit there and spin? Wondering if I wait long enough it will update with more information.

I've been wondering the same thing myself. I've noticed many at IMS show they are pending Renaissance Yard, so I was leaning toward them being returned to the plant for completion, but if they truly are storing some in Albany, I'm sure those would be completed somewhere close by. That's just too far to ship them back.
Maybe it's split. I guess they would have to mobilize UAW workers to finish them?

I've had the same thing. I've never had it add information any info not returned on the initial inqury.

If mine or anyone elses is actually in Albany, I just cant understand why a salseman can see this in a visabillity report, yet the manufacturer has no idea where or what happened to their product. If I had more free time Id take a ride to the Selkirk yard and take photographic evidence. Selkirk NY CSX station. Little dots are all new vehicles waiting for truck transport. If you find it and zoom in you can see the car carrier trucks loaded up. Grated a google map photo but you get the idea. Maybe theres a bunch of us northerners trucks their now.
