Carter YFA Adjustment

This is a 1984 i6 feedback carb, with all the feedback stuff unplugged and the ignition converted to Duraspark II. I'm having trouble getting the idle set right. I noticed next to my adjustment screw, there is another hole, with a mark on the housing. It looks like there was another screw here. The screw I have on there, rests on a part of the choke linkage. When the truck is warmed up, this plate the screw hits is moved up and the screw doesn't rest solidly on there, even though its almost all the way in. Is this actually my fast idle screw? Am I missing an adjustment screw? If so, does anyone know if I can purchase a screw?

If you have a screw that hits a plate hooked to the choke, yes that is your fast idle screw and only affects the idle speed when the choke is active. I have never messed with the inline six setup with the 1 barrel, but don't you have a round motor looking thing where the throttle cable attaches to the gas pedal? And that whole motor thing is adjustable?

YES, That is where the normal idle screw goes. I think it is a 10/32 thread. you will need a spring also.

There is a motor-like solenoid thing that controls the idle, but I think that's part of the feedback/computer system which I have unhooked.

I got a bolt and a spring at the hardware store and they're working great, so my idle sounds pretty good now.
