Has anyone installed the bed pivot storage boxes on a Lariat with the LED lights in the bed. Does this setup cover the switch in the bed and the lights when closed?
Not switch related. But I put a passenger side box on my 2019. It'll go into my 2020 after the bed liner arrives. But a word of warning, they are not meant to hold much weight and it's a pretty flimsy spring in the latch mechanism.
After placing a chain & some tie downs in mine, the weight made the box push down toward the floor enough that the rod on the bottom of the box wouldn't engage the very cheap latch. The plastic cover of the latch mech would not stay in place and kept falling off. I ended up riveting a piece of metal and drilling/filing a spot for the rod to engage the latch mechanism. The Ford emblem does not make this a $175 dollar item that's for sure.
It may be suitable for some hand tools or a nylon strap but that's about it in my opinion.
As far as Tasca goes, my one buying experience with them brought shipping delays and little to no response from customer service. Fairway Ford in Ohio is much better. I've purchased from them several times in the past.

Just curious, was your one buying experience from this year? Everything I bought from them shipped really quick except for some parts I ordered this year (post-COVID). The stuff I ordered this year took much longer to arrive and I kept getting e-mail notices of delays. Everything prior has shipped pretty quick.
If you want to avoid online dealers altogether, I've taken Tasca's pricing into my local dealer and they've price matched. Saved me paying for shipping on a couple larger items.

I don't recall exactly when, but it was a few years ago. No doubt it could have been a one off experience or that maybe things have improved there since my transaction. I just haven't gone back for Round 2 with them. Especially since I've had very good experiences with Fairway's shipping and their assistance with setting up the remote start modules in a previous truck when I hadn't even purchased the parts from them.
I just got one for my '19 SD, as I have 95,000 points ready to expire. I only got the passenger side, as I didn't want it to block my LED bed light switch. The driver side definitely will block the switch, but I think you could get your hand in there fairly easily ... it's not as if the box makes a tight, flush seal against the side of the bed. The passenger side does block the LED light somewhat on the passenger side. I rarely use my LED bed lights, though, so I haven't been bothered by it.
The box, itself, if stout, well made, and installs pretty easily. The included instructions are great. They're clearly written with good drawings ... definitely not the ESL-written instructions I'm used to deciphering on such projects. Simple hand tools is all you need. Takes about 20 minutes to install, going really slow. You do have to remove the tail light assembly, but that's not difficult at all. Note that it's all plastic with some metal hinges. If someone really wants the box, a prybar would make quick work of it.
I'll take some pics tonight to show the relative spacing.
I had one made by Undercover years ago on a previous truck. As stated above they are not designed to carry much weight. I had a chain, some ratchet straps and jumper cables in mine and the plastic box broke away from the metal swing arm bracket. It's a poor design. One simple piece of metal spanning the bottom would prevent that from happening. For the money there are better more rugged options in my opinion.
I have one, Undercover branded, and I agree with the others about it being a little flimsy. I like it a lot, but they're not for heavy items. Mine has some weight in it and works well, but you can easily tell when loading it when to stop. For a tool kit, some straps, and gloves, its very convenient and works well.
I have one on the passenger side of my 2020. I deliberately stuck it there because I did not want to cover my bed lighting switch. It does cover the light a bit and it also obscures the D ring on that side of the bed. I keep my jumper cables, tow kit and ratchet straps in it. It does a nice job of keeping stuff out of the truck cab. The mount is stout, but I wouldn't try to overload the box.

Appreciate it - think I'll order up one from the local dealer.

I found that there's room to put an E track ring into the BoxLink slot visible above the tool box. Kind of a workaround if you need to anchor something in that corner of the bed.
Oh, and another little tidbit of goodness...the lock and the weather cap is made of metal and the lock is key retaining until you put it back in the neutral position.
