Power Steering Enhancer
I saw in a YouTube video that a guy put a power steering enhancer product in the ATF in his PS pump. He said it quiets the Ford pumps. I just put a new(still a reman) Motorcraft pump on my 7.3 and it is significantly quieter than the old one but was skeptical of this additive that supposedly makes it quieter. Does anyone have any background on a product like this?

I have used it for years with great success. I once had an Aerostar van with a very loud pump from the day I bought it. Much later the pump went from very loud to screaming in about a weeks time. Looked into the pump and the fluid was pink and foamy. Water had gotten into the pump from the cowl drain that is right above the p/s pump on Aerostars. I drained and flushed the pump, added new fluid and Lubguard.
Within 5 miles the pump was quieter than it had ever been. I drove it for several more years, then my son drove it. My BIL bought it and drove it several years, then gave it to his son that drove it several years. P/S pump was quieter than new the whole time.
I have since used Lubguard in many vehicles with great success, not only on my own cars, but friends cars and cars I sold when I had a used car lot.
