My son and I are working on a '94 F150 6cyl, auto 2wd that we got cheap. We have replaced the brake lines and now can drive it, but alas, my son is only 13 and cannot drive it for another 2.5yrs. We have decided to keep the truck, work on it next year etc. and it will be his to drive when he is 16.
So the big question is, I have to store the truck outside (in NH) and want to just fill the gas tanks, put in stabilizer and pull the battery out. Will I cause the computer to have any issues by having the battery out for 5 months??
The truck will be parked on the lawn & covered with a tarp.
I live in NH and I am actually doing the same thing with my 2002 Mazda Protege, LOL, I'd rather drive my 1990 F150, I am just going to start it and move it every 2-3 weeks, until someone tells me sometihng better to do with it, I did buy a car cover though.......
