Ford or Warner 3-speed? You can post a picture of your warranty plate if you can find it (glovebox door most likely) or type in the transmission code here.
Also, since they didn't really call anything the main shaft in the 3 speeds we might need a bit more info about what you need. Once you say if it is Ford or Warner then I can post a pic of the exploded view and you can help ID which item you are after. There are generally the input shaft (7017), the output shaft (7061) and the countershaft (7111) with the countershaft gear cluster (7113).
Ford 259 transmission. Guess you could also call it an output shaft. Basic P/N is 7061 in an IPB that I found on line. Just need the shaft, none of the gears or syncro ring, Bare shaft only. this is for a short wheel base truck.
