First I would like to thank everyone on this board I have received a lot of help with problems that I had on my '88 F150.
Next my problem last week my reverse lights didn't work, I checked the bulbs and they were fine. But no backup lights worked in reverse. This week my reverse went I can't move the truck in reverse. Is this related in some way. I have a '88 F150 302 V8 automatic 4sp.AOD. Thanks for your help.
CMD, Check the linkage on the side of the transmission. It may be out of adjustment. We had trans work done to my 89' 150 and when it came back, there were no reverse lights. The lights would work sometimes if you played with the shifter a little. All it needed was an adjustment with the linkage. How many miles are on the trans? Have you noticed any other operational problems with the trans in the past? Slipping in foward or reverse? Hopefully all it will need is an adjustment. Good luck.
