I just swapped rotors, pads and calipers on my 2000 F250. Replaced two hoses, the other two on the rear I'm going to take them in because the steel lines on the axle are rusted badly. Intermittently for the past couple years I've had a fluid leak in the front drivers wheel well. When it leaks its everywhere. Now that the rubber hose is new and the steel line behind it isn't leaking, i found the for sure culprit. On the bottom of the master cylinder is a sensor. I don't
know what it is but it leaks fluid from there. Does anyone know what it is or if there is an o ring in it that needs replacing?
That sensor is what starts truck fires. I am going to assume this truck never had the recall performed. You need the repair kit, in the meantime unplug the harness from the switch to prevent a fire.
It will be going to the dealer after the new rear lines are put on. Should probably install my new tensioner and PS pump too, the bed needs to be replaced badly, wouldn't want them to hear any of the other ungodly noises it makes when it goes up there too.
