Paint advice needed

My 97 hood and roof need repainting. Last year I sanded, applied primer, sprayed multiple cans of Duplicolor touchup paint. But it is peeling again. I am going to use polyurethane base paint and a polyurethane clear coat this time after sanding and priming. I still have a few questions after watching several youtube videos.
1. Can I use Rustoleum primer spray cans after sanding? Or does urethane base coat need a special primer?
2. Do I need a hardener for urethane base and clear coats?
3. My driveway has no shade. Is shade a must?

My goal is to avoid becoming an eyesore to my neighbors when the truck is parked in the neighborhood street. I have not spray painted before. Any advice (or alternative approach) would be much appreciated. Thank you.

^^^ I'm stalking hotrroders.com from time to time. You need epoxy primer. After that per them you can go with whatsoever same company who make epoxy recommend. Or you can go Rustoleum or whatsoever you want. Just keep base clear form same company. You need not urethane at yours 20 some years old truck.

Thanks for the primer tip. If not urethane, what can I spray? Again, my goal is to keep the truck unnoticeable.

Urethane is expensive. It is used in Macco if you want pay highest price. I would go with rattle can, rustoleum or what. Again you have to go epoxy primer first. Do not know now if you sprayed something before it do not make sense because purpose of epoxy is to go on clean metal. Another primer that you talk about I guess would be primer surfacer. You need not it for yours target. I guess you didn't send primer and miss recoat window, it is why yours paint peal off. Your best bet is go to hotrodders in theirs paint section. There are real expert in painting.
