Greetings-
I have an '88 F150. The turnsignals have started to go really fast, so much so that in daylight its hard to tell their blinking. Any suggestions on fixing this?
Check your bulbs, but if that's not the problem just get a new flasher. It's a plug-in unit by the fuse box under the dash and replacing it is as easy as plugging in your christmas tree!
The stock flasher was thermally controlled. I replaced mine with an electronic flasher because when I pulled my boat the trailer lights drained it too much and I got the twinkling turn signals.

The same thing happened just a week ago in my 92' F-250. The albility to flash my brights had gone away about 6 months ago and then all of a sudden my turn signals started flashing much faster than normal, after about four days they didn't work at all. Turns out it was the dimmer switch which went out. The dam thing cost $80 for the switch alone. I don't know if this is what's happening to you put those were my symptoms.
Katt, Most of the time that I have had a problem like this is when either the flasher is ready to be replaced or something has been added. Whether it was a trailer or a plow harness, the lights would flash real fast until they finally crapped out. The quick fix, get either a heavy duty flasher or an electronic flasher. Electronic flashers may be more money but the flash stays consistent reguardless of the amount of bulbs on the truck/trailer. Good luck.
