Prospective Buyer

Found a 2018 3.0 Latiat at a dealership, financials make sense based on all the information I have on the truck, looking to pull the trigger this week to buy. Looking for a truck I can can rely on for a long time. Just wanted to hear from you guys if anyone has had any reliability/durability issues? Also anybody have one over 150k miles and still going strong?

I have none yet, but I only have 14K on my 2018. I have heard they are cheaper out on the west coast. I heard they were not even giving the employee discount on them here in Michigan.

I doubt you’ll find one with 150k on the ticker, being a newer mill. I’m at 25k on mine, and all it does is make me smile. I wish I had better payload, but when I bought it, I had no real need for payload, and didn’t see the need for the lifetime I would own this truck. That changed with Covid.
This basic mill has been running in Europe for about 7+ years. It’s pretty bulletproof. The EGR was the biggest issue, and it was addressed immediately. While I think this mill will go 150k easy if maintained properly, I plan to move on before 100k just because of my change in needs.

What do you plan to go to?

What is your payload anyway? My 19 Screw 4x4 3.5EB with max tow has a 1821 payload.

I may go back to a Super Duty, but it depends on payloads with F150’s when I’m looking again, plus my trailer plans. My current payload on my loaded Lariat 3.0L is 1,350, but I have every option plus the smoker.
