CarPlay and Sync 3

Just a heads up, CarPlay wouldn’t work after updating my iPhone to IOS14. I connected the truck to WiFi at home and updated Sync 3 and its all back to normal. It’s always something with all this software but at least this was a quick and easy fix!

Thanks for the heads up.

is it easy to update sync 3? as long as you are on wifi?

anyone know where in the menu system i do this?

Go to <Settings> <General> and <Automatic System Updates> scroll to the bottom and select <Scan for Updates Now>

update - so the truck (weirdly) refused to connect to wifi

i had to do a Sync Reset, then connect to wifi (it would then) ... then update Sync.

so far so good... other than i bet my long standing issue remains... when on Apple CarPlay and i get or place a call... consistently the person on the other end of the phone says "i can barely hear you"

No issue when bluetooth only.

bummed.
