Find a buddy to hang out for awhile, to take your mind off of it. The kind of buddy who, when you mention HER name again or get THAT look on your face will say "Forget about, let's have another beer (Not advocating alcohol use as a solution) You know the guy. Everyone has that friend, go find him, and move on.

 

it may seem like that now...but later on..you will see things differently....get some sleep go hang out with the fellas.... go play in the mud...whatever you love doing - just go do it with some of the guys...go spend some money, go eat something you love to eat....get some good rest and after you do that enough, things will get easier...can't say when...but eventually they will. in your mind you say sharing her just isn't right...Neither is mulling over and over it...it's only hurting you.

 

Wish I had some friends here, I would like it if I had some money to go do some stuff, maybe if my truck got a little better than 3 MPG and stopped burning oil faster than I could pour it in (stuck piston rings).

 

Sounds like your a college student (you mentioned classes...) There's usually something going on on a college campus. Find out what. even if it's really corny, it beats sitting around thinkin bout your situation

Lookit - you might be making a bi-level miscalculation here;
This is my way of looking at it -

1) You're not gonna die if you don't "score" on a regular basis. You will contract one or more social diseases if you look at it in those terms however.

2) You cannot make a life with a member of the other sex who is not first of all a friend and confidant. Therefore, the more you share and the more you support eachother on a daily basis, the more likely a relationship will last.

3) Fast cars break, exotic ones are expensive to maintain, and abused ones are more likely to fall apart - significant others are just like that. You need to decide what kind of maintenance you are willing to provide before you bring one home...

4) If you have a lot more car or truck than you are capable of dealing with - it will get away from you sooner or later. THAT holds true with people also.

5) You can't beat yourself up all the time. I love my F-100 because it has been through hell, it has a heart of gold, and she loves to play in the MUD. But I love my F-250 even more: Same body style, much stronger, less demanding on the wallet, it rides like a dream, is comfortable as can be, it will go anywhere I want to take it, and the possibilities are endless. PROVIDED I take decent care of her.

Go figure...

LOSE the idea that you absolutely must have a girlfriend.
Lose the idea that a "GIRLFRIEND" is someone you have to "DATE", "IMPRESS", "SPEND MONEY ON", and all of those "IDEAL MOMENT" kinds of things....

They're all pure fantasy....


Look for Ladies you can talk with, that are a load of fun to be around, that don't give a dang about getting greasy and can laugh when stupid stuff happens that messes one of you up! Now THAT'S a GIRL...

And so many men would kill to find one like that if you think about it. They ARE the best...

I jumped the gun on this one, thanks to all of you FTE'ers and their wonderful advice, except the Cheese guy, I don't want to date other girls, I never have. Its foreign to me. Don't get me wrong, I do like girls, but I don't (can't) move from relationship to relationship on a weekly basis.

I read a story about a guy that took something the wrong way, from his girl and killed himself. I am not quite that unstable.

There is something about this girl that makes me feel so good inside, the kind of thing that makes my day just great even if its not supposed to be.

I would like to offer a word of hope for all people out there. Remember to think things through. I know thats not always possible, but in the very least, look at your options before you do something stupid. We all make mistakes, and if yours is troubling I hope that this has proven to you that other people can help. Don't be afraid to ask, FTE is completely anonymous.

Hey this isn't reality TV.

 

She did you a favor. Whoever this guy is, it's obvious that she was cheating, one way or another. You don't want a chick like that. Think about it, say everything got worked out and you 2 are back together. Now you have to worry every time she's out of your sight. Don't put yourself thru that. Take a look around, there may be someone right around the corner that would be happy to be with you. Just try to be happy with YOU first, then share that with someone. Just remember, whoever this guy is will get the same treatment that you just did, once a cheater, always a cheater. The best revenge is living well. Don't get yourself in trouble over this.

 

Phat is right. I've had that happen once. A kick in the gut you can do nothing about. You can never trust her 100% again, and a relationship is built on trust. And you talk a lot about it so even though you might be able to glue it back together it will never be as good as new.

But it sounds like your doing better. Hang in there, it can only go uphill from here.
