I messed up my mirror tonight

I backed out of a parking spot tonight and drilled a metal pole and f-ed up my passenger side mirror pretty bad. Am I going to have to buck up and pay the $1,500 replacement price for one mirror or is there another option? Anyone have a spare passenger side power telescoping and power folding mirror?

Well make a comprehensive claim. This is why I keep mine at $50.00.

What options are on your mirrors?? Do they have the 360 cameras? Bottom LED puddle lights? Heated?? Power telescoping?? BLIS? Power glass?? Those mirrors have different combos of options. The more features you have the more expensive they are. You can now buy replacement mirrors on ebay. Check them out. Much cheaper than the dealer. Hope this helps.

LED puddle, power glass, heated, power telescoping and power fold. No camera. Looked on eBay but can’t find anything power telescoping and power fold

Well you can also look on car-part.com to get a used one. When you're searching for it, it will ask you what option combination you have before you see what they have. You don't know what the dealer wants for one. Also try Amazon.

Oops.....Chalk this up to a lesson learned.

With that being said, just open up your wallet and pay to have a new OEM mirror installed or search for a used one on EBay and other websites and install it yourself.

If you need the chrome caps, I am getting ready to remove mine to replace them with body colored ones. I put mirrors from 1aauto on my Excursion and they were very good quality.

Why not take the easiest solution and just submit this as a comprehensive claim?

$500 deductible and would be second "accident" within 2 years. Trying not to run it through insurance so it doesn't go up anymore.

Well its not a accident its a comprehensive claim, no different than a windshield claim. It doesn't go against you.
