I see a little water seeping in on the driver side onto the floor... coming down up from up behind the pedals somewhere... doesn't seem to be coming in around the windshield seal, just wondering if there is a common spot that rust out that I could check?
It could be a number of spots. One fairly easy check/ fix is a new cowl seal. We had water dripping between the hood and cab that found its way through the hole for the Speedo cable.
This one is from "Rubber the Right Way" I think Steele Rubber makes them now too.
Search on here for hood to cowl seal and you'll find some good information and some other ideas.
There was a pretty good thread a couple of months ago.
I would start by looking down in the cowl vents (the area in front of the w/s.) ANd see if you can see a rusty area. A trick is to go out in the dark and shine a strong flashlight at the pedal area or behind it or above the pedals and go look in the engine compartment for a sign of light.
Also insp the firewall for missing plugs, extra holes, speedo cable sealed. Is it a standard trans and the clutch rod boot good condition?
I know that water can get in thru your antenna hole and wind up on you park brake pedal. Crazy water leaks. At least is it not in the passenger side floor pan and is green ish and smells like antifreeze.....common sign of a heater core leak.
Also do the light trick in reverse, bright light in the eng compartment and get to looking under the dash for light.
oh man, water can get in anywhere and show up in places that don't make sense... and yes... ive experienced the green drip before, hahaha. gonna do some poking around tonight. thanks again
