1999 F250 5.4 starts and idles fine for a few minutes then fuel pressure randomly drops all the way down and motor dies. Pump, filter and injectors are all brand new. Never had this problem until today when I went to drop it off at the tranny shop
We need more info.. when did you change all that stuff and why?
Key on a few times with pressure gauge hooked up. does pressure hold up for 15 mins? What tests have you done?
Well I had a problem where the fuel rail was clogged by mud dobber nest I want to say the pump filter might be clogged up, pulled the filter and quite a bit of nasty stuff came out I put the inlet side back on and primed it a few times to flush it out and it’s running Better but still dies pretty often I tested the FPR and it’s good I assume it could always be electrical somewhere but I didn’t see any wires were rubbing on the frame or anything exposed it was a random all of sudden problem
If you have a lot of trash in the fuel tank then you might be clogging up the pump filter like you're thinking. i'd clean the tank if there is a bunch of stuff in there.

had the motor out for a month or so I could build it and I left the fuel rails dangling without plugging them
