I have an 05 F-250 that i added the factory trailer brake controller to, replaced master cylinder and enabled the controller with forscan. EVERY time i hit the brake "check trailer' pops up on the dash. I haven't even hooked up a trailer to it yet since adding the TBC... bled brakes, checked fuses for anything pertaining to TBC or trailer, cleaned connections and used anti-ox on 7 pin connector and connector on back of 7 pin connector... don't know what to try next, any ideas? It is a Dorman TBC, brand new from rock auto

if I'm not mistaken, it always says that when you hit the manual brake on the controller and a trailer is not connected. Did I miss something here? Maybe the question is worded weird, idk

It does it when i press the brake pedal, not the manual brake on the controller. It even shows the trailer being red and not connected but still says to "check trailer" on the dash
