New crossmember...

I am converting my 98F150 to a solid axle 4X4 when I get back from Korea. I am having some leaf spring hangers and a new crossmember welded up for my truck over here. The problem is that I'm not near my truck right now and won't be for another 88 days. to get the right measurements for the crossmemeber, I need to know the distance between the framerails. I was hopeing someone in here could help me out. I have a 1998 F150XL 4.2L 4x2 reg cab swb. I already have a D44HD and rear D60 and springs for both axles from a 77 F250. Thanks for any help and advice that you guys may have.

I'll measure one tomorrow at work and post back. Your 98 is a 2wd, is that correct?

ok.. 38.5 inches, inside to inside. This is at the trans crossmember. Sorry I didnt get back yesterday, I got sent out to recover a rolled over Bobcat. Sometimes the fun never seems to end! As for the username, I spent 20 yrs working on and crewing Ch-47s in the Army. Retired in 97.
