I drive my F-250 Crew Cab, 2003 around the job site a lot. I hate the seat belt warning going off every 30 seconds or so. I also hate the doors locking everytime I put the gear shift in drive. If I want to lock the doors I will do it. Can these items be disconnected without a lot of trouble or disconnecting something that should be working? It would be great to hear from someone who is really knowledgeable with the electrical system.

Also, look in the manual - It explains how to turn off the "auto door lock" feature. As for the seat belt minder bell, there's a plug under the driver seat. I think the wires go to the seat belt receiver - just unplug it. The seat belt reminder light in the dash will still work properly, but the dinging bell will stop...
