Has anyone installed a door step or door step loop on a early 70's Ford F250?
I know it will not look correct but medical conditions call for one being installed on my 1971 F250 so I can continue to drive it. I have looked at the Bully style U loop type as one idea, any others that you guys have tried.
Come on guys, someone got to have mounted one. The Bully AS-200 is one I have looked at. It comes in polished aluminum & I would like one in black. Might even paint it a blue so it goes with my body color even if it is a darker blue.

Sorry I can't help. I have not done it. Are you good at fab work?
I have never used or mounted one but a 1970 f350 cab and chassis that I have has one. I think its pretty cheesy but it might be a 1970 special.
I didnt really look at it much since this is just for extra parts and I paid no attention to how it attaches. I would pull it off and put up pictures for you but it is about 45 minutes to an hour from my house. Im sure there is probably better options out there that will work and look right on your truck.
JEFFFAFA-- I'm OK at fabing but short on welding equipment these days.
cstoyer-- These were the Bully hoops I was looking at.
1browski-- Thanks for the reply
I can measure or take a pic tomorrow if you are interested. Cut some spacers out of 3/16 flat stock, used 4 spacers per step (3/8” total) And mounted To the door sill horizontally. It was easy.
Here are a couple pictures. The step is mounted as far forward as possible underneath. You can see the right side is snug against the "bulge" on the forward side of the door sill.
I had them farther back, like in line with front edge of seat and that didn't allow you to swing your back leg in easily. I only use them about 10% of the time, easier to grab the wheel and hoist. And mine is 4wd with 35s...
cbrown9064 -- Thanks for the step mounting pictures and placement comments. I will mount mine as far forward as I can, that will help a person getting into the passenger side. I will see about spacers when I get the steps later this week. Looks like the two bolts hold them solid.
