I figured I'd try this here first, hopefully some other 1993 F150 owners have had this issue.
I'm a third owner, apparently my truck is a bit of a Frankenstein. I have the non-electronic AOD transmission, stock. It seems the usual transmission for this year is the electronic version. I definitely don't have that. I do have the 5.0 liter engine. And the truck is a four-wheel drive if that matters. I want to replace the stock pan with one that has a drain plug.
I get mixed information from the net about the aftermarket pans. They seem to be replacements for the electronic transmissions and I even found one comment that said I could use the deeper pan with drain plug, but that I would need a non-stock filter as for the e40d transmission.
