I just bought my 1st truck at age 57 and I am auto mechanically challanged, but trying to learn and do things myself. The headlights and most guages do not work- there are several (3 or 4)fuses missing with clips to hold them on the panel under the steering wheel. I want to put new fuses in to see if that fixes my problem but I do not know what size to install and I couldn't see any numbers imprinted on the panel. I would appreciate any suggestions before I guess. Thank you.
My advice is to go out and buy a Chilton's manual for your truck. It will be the best $15 you ever spend, and it will pay for itself time and time again.
It also has the information you're looking for in it. There's a diagram of what fuse runs what, and how big of a fuse it needs to have. My truck was shy a couple fuses when I bought it, and I never would have know what to put in if it wasn't for this book.
