I just want your opinions regarding the aftermarket and OEM parts
I've been hearing weird sounds from my ford lincoln 98. When I check the fan I noticed that there is a missing fan blade which causes the imbalance of fan spinning.
IMHO any part that is not subject to frequent replacement I'll always go OEM----as already said they're better quality and I don't want to do a job more than once in a vehicle's life if possible. Almost every time a cheap aftermarket part is used it needs replaced once again since it just wasn't that good of quality in the first place.
Naturally OEM parts are NOT perfect but I'm running a 2000 E250 with 5.4 gasoline engine still using most of its original parts and 292K miles; starter, radiator fan & fan clutch, even the engine and transmission too. I'd say that alone is good reason to consider OEM parts.
A "Ford Lincoln 98" you say? I think my uncle had one of those once. Well anyway, I rallied all my anti-virus software and braved a look at the links. The first one is a replacement cooling fan and the second link is just a randomish collection of parts on eBay. So I guess go with the fan in the first link?
