2015 F250 fender flare recommendations please, not a fan of unprotected fender wells

My last several truck/suv vehicles have had a plastic fender flare of some nature oem. My new to me F250 2015 has just plain painted fender metal rolled edge and looks prime for stone chips and premature rust.

Is there a brand or type/style that is low profile? I don’t want some fake screw, 4” wide flares that make stock wheels look too far under the truck. I am a fan of liberal oil undercoating but feel a decent fender flare could help longevity.

Thoughts?

Thanks

Some flares end up rubbing off factory paint where they ride against the fender, so you'll have to avoid that, too. I agree that an unprotected fenderwell lip will chip and rust. I hate aftermarket flares so much that I can't give a recommendation on a brand. Perhaps you can just look at trucks with flares in parking lots and try to find a style that does what you want.

I had a set of 5kse wide off road type flares. BTW they look stupid without wide tires. They started running the paint. If you want subtle flares find a Lariat Excursion. I’ve seen some Lund smaller street flares for sale. Personally i would get that Raptor liner and color match it and spray line the bottom of the fender lips and rockers.
the fender flares I had when I removed them they had a bunch of dust and crap that got behind the flare. I cannot imagine the crap, that would sit there if I lived in snow country

that is not a bad idea. I forgot you can get that stuff in colors now.

I had a set of takeoff OEM flares on my 2013 and I liked them. I took them off after 5yrs just to see what the paint looked like underneath and it was flawless. I think by the time I bought them and had them painted to match I had $400 into them, not any cheaper than a set of Bushwhackers but I figured they would fit better.
On my 2019 I put a set of BushWhacker OEM style on since the OEM flares require holes to be drilled into the bedside. I was worried about the flares rubbing the paint off so I had the area behind the flares sprayed with Line-X to solve that issue. It cost extra but I'll never have any issues with it.
